Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create an embossed design in low relief. Native American silversmith Chris Pruitt created handcrafted stamps to repoussé Argentium silver into this buckle design. Argentium is a non-tarnishable alloy that replaces the copper that is used in sterling silver. Argentium silver content, at 93.5% to 96%, is also higher than sterling's.
